QR Codes: making them for visitors to places of interest

This page was written by Christopher Spry.

I am considering providing QR codes in this scenic part of the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales, to give visitors more information about points of interest. Many other organisations have done this for their areas, including HistoryPoints, which has many QR codes for visitors in North Wales. These provide information to smart phones. This information is also available online, with maps.

Scanova has a useful introduction to this technology.

In 2012, the town of Monmouth used this approach to become the first 'Wikipedia' town.
